Graham at 8 months

I can't believe my baby boy is already 8 months. It was just yesterday that he was a newborn!!

Some things Graham is doing lately:

-Crawling and getting pretty darn fast.

-Clapping. Pretty much the cutest thing ever.

- Still saying mama

- loves to play on the ground and loves it when mommy is sitting on the ground with him.

- officially upgraded to his convertible car seat. We bought it several months ago and he used it a couple times but then we switched him back to his infant car seat for a couple months.

- he is a great eater. He will eat whatever we give him. He loves Mango, pear, apple, butternut squash, sweet potato, carrot, kale, regular squash, oatmeal, peas, punmpkin, broccoli, spinach. We are very blessed he is such a good eater.

- he loves standing up in his crib and gets a huge proud grin whenever he does.

-has his two bottom teeth.

-he is definitely a mamas boy. He loves his daddy too of course .

- I have still yet to leave him for more than an hour. My parents have watched him once for an hour while Preston and I cleaned up the leaves in our front yard but that's it. We both enjoy and prefer having Graham with us. Now, eventually a date night to dinner and a movie will be nice but that will come.

- still nursing like a champ. I don't think I will wean him at a year unless of course he wants to. But at this rate I don't think he will want to lol

7 months old

My baby boy is officially 7 months old. It is bittersweet. I love watching him grow and learn new things but everyday it's just a reminder that he won't be my little baby very much longer.

It's rather ironic because just 7 months ago we came home with our little boy... Those days were hard. Our boy had colic and between that and being new parents it was a very difficult time. But we got through it! And let me tell you it was so worth it! I kind of already have baby fever again! But don't worry number 2 won't be happening yet. Still want to enjoy my sweet baby boy Graham before we make him a big brother, forever! Lol.

Graham is the sweetest boy ever. Preston and I both love him so much and are so thankful God entrusted us with this precious little life. It is my and Preston's prayer that Graham grows up accepting then Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Preston has been really busy with work and school. We found out that we has another semester added to his 2 that he has left because Chico state is lame and makes you stay another semester taking pointless classes that have nothing to do with your major. We just want to be done and moved on from school! I guess i just have to be patient. After Preston graduates me hopes to get a job at a accounting firm. We are looking to re-locate our family to out of state. We are seriously looking at the Boise Idaho area. The "big 4" accounting firms are there, cost of living is better, family friendly, lots more to do there as far as outside goes and entertainment for families. Preston and I have lived in the same area pretty much all our lives so it will be so fun to experience something different. And it is only 9 hours away from gridley/yuba city so it will still be pretty close to family! We will see.

That's all for now. :)

I am still here

I know, I've really been slacking on the blog posts lately. I have really good intentions of keeping it up but life just gets so busy with an almost 7 month old. We have been keeping pretty busy lately. We went to the pumpkin patch which was so fun. Brooks and Andrea and the kids came down for a couple days which was so much fun! It was great seeing them. We got our family pictures taken and Graham's 6 month pictures. They turned out so amazing! Graham started solids 2 days before he turned 6 months old. Preston really wanted to wait until the 6 month mark but I just was so excited I couldn't wait. His first taste of food was banana and he absolutely loved it. He is such a great eater. He loves sweet potatoes, carrots, mango, pear, butternut squash, apple, spinach, his oatmeal cereal in the mornings. He rolls around everywhere! Not crawling yet but he can push himself up with his arms. He is such a great sleeper too. He sleeps in our room but honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way right now. When he isn't right next to me I sleep horribly because I am always waiting for him to wake up. So we both sleep better right next to each other. And it makes his night time feelings so much easier because neither of us have to fully wake up. He only wakes up about 1 time to eat. He is sick a happy boy. He responds to his name, gives kisses when we ask for them. Loves watching people. Loves to be on the move. Is super curious and doesn't like to miss anything. We just put his swing away. No more naps in that. It was bittersweet putting it away but now we have much more room in the living room for him to roll around and play which is nice.

Excited for the holidays

Just a picture of my sweet boy. He loves his sweet potatoes.

I can't believe he will be 6 months old on Friday. How come when you become a parent life starts to go by so fast?! It needs to slow down.

We are getting excited about the Holidays coming up. Trips to the Pumpkin Farm and Preston wants to take Graham and I to Apple Hill and hopefully Preston can get some time off in November to go to Sunriver Oregon for Thanksgiving. Then it will be Christmas time and we will hopefully see Prestons sister who is in Chicago and be with Preston's family Christmas Eve and then spend Christmas with my family. I know Graham won't remember his first Christmas but I am so excited for Christmas morning with him!! Since I have know Preston since 2009 I have only spent Christmas with my family once. Not sure how that worked out. Lol. I have loved spending Christmas with Preston's family though and being apart of their family. I sure married into an awesome family. I couldn't have asked for better "in-laws" (don't really like that term but that's ok :) and I couldn't have asked for better grandparents for Graham. :) love you guys!

Onto other business.... Last night was horrible! Graham fell asleep at around 9 and woke up at 11 and I couldn't get him to calm down until 3 IN THE MORNING.  He must be teething (we've been saying that for months lol). Yesterday I went into town with my mom to run some errands and I finally got "Hylands Teething Tablets" for mister Graham. He had been crying the entire car ride and within like / minutes of me giving them to him he was out. I remembered I  had them at 3am and he was out again a couple minutes after me giving them to him. Those things are magic I tell you. They are homeopathic too so they are all natural ingredients which is a plus!

That's all for now :)

Decisions decisions

This morning graham and I braved the gloomy weather and walked to my parents house. My parents were just getting ready to go to yuba city to go to a movie so my dad was in his room getting ready . My dad eventually comes out and we notice right away that Graham and my dad match. How cute. They are already best buds.

We haven't really been up to much. Preston has been working lots and had a coffee tasting thing today at Starbucks in order to get his black apron to be a Coffee Master.

We are looking forward to Brooks & Andrea and the kids coming down in a couple of weeks. We haven't seen then since Tyler and Michele's wedding at the beginning of June. Too long.

We are also excited to get our family pictures done by our good friend Kayla on October 19th! This will be the first time we will have our pictures done since before Graham's birth. So exciting. Now we just have to pick out the perfect outfits for all of us ;)

In other news Preston and I have decided not to celebrate Halloween with Graham (and all other future children). I'm not going to write about all the reasons why cause it would be too long but we have decided that is what is best for our family. We will still go to the pumpkin farm though :) Just no dressing up , trick or treating, or candy.

Still trying to decide about doing the Santa thing. We still have a few months to decide and he is so young now that he won't remember this Christmas anyways.

Having children is tough. You have to make really tough decisions that honestly didn't cross my mind before having Graham.

Sorry there aren't very many pictures in this post. I just got a new phone so I don't have that many pictures on this phone yet.

I just have to add these pictures of Alice. She was blessed today and I was so excited when I got these pictures. She looked absolutely beautiful.
