So if you are friends with me on Facebook the photos I put up will be on repeat for a while... I am sorry for that!! I think I've decided just to blog my pictures instead of uploading them on Facebook... I dunno, seems more personable to me.
Anyways... Can I just say that since I became a parent time has gone by LIKE REALLY SUPER FAST! I can't even believe we are already in the middle of August.... I feel like it was just the beginning of the year.
I have been really sentimental lately. Pretty much every night I find myself looking through all my pictures on my computer of Graham through his short 4 months with us and get really sad. For those of you who have kids, you will understand that in the beginning, especially when you are a first-time parent you are pretty much in survival mode. You aren't quite sure what you are supposed to do with this new human.. at least that is how it was for me. You lose A LOT of sleep, and try to figure out how you are going to function day to day going from 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep to pretty much no sleep. But, eventually it all settles down, you get a routine and life goes on. Then, you are where I am today.. sitting on my couch while my almost 5 month old takes a nap wondering where the time went. Wondering if you cherished the times when he was first born enough. Hoping you remember every single detail of when he was a little baby (which is why I started this blog).
I can't even begin to describe just how much I love my son. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me, aside from marrying his daddy ;)
Some things I want to remember about Graham at 4 1/2 months:
- He just recently started taking two naps a day (on a good day). He still only naps in his swing with the vacuum on. I have no idea what I will do when he outgrows his swing... We will cross that bridge when we get there ;)
-He loves loves loves being outside. If he is being fussy sometimes a nice walk is just what he needs.
- He still doesn't like riding in the car but I must say he is getting so much better!! He now usually falls asleep after crying for just a little bit as opposed to crying the whole trip. Now, he still has his days and I still wouldn't go on a long trip in the car but we are making progress!
-He rolls over a lot now. When he is laying on the floor he will roll onto his side to watch me, it is really cute.
-He smiles/laughs when we tickle him or play peek-a-boo.
-Whenever we eat he is getting very interested in what we have. Sign he is getting ready for solids. Just 1 and a half more months buddy!
