4th of July

Sadly I don't have any pictures of Graham's second 4th of July but i wanted to write about it so I can remember it ...

It was a fun day! Preston worked until 6:15 then once he was off we (including my parents) met his parents at his aunts house and swam in their pool. Graham wasn't so sure about the water so he didn't get it much but it was still fun! We also BBQed and then did the whole firework thing! Graham liked some of the fireworks but not the loud ones.

The next day we went to his aunts house and swam again. Graham still didn't like the water but warmed up to it a little more. I wish I could have gotten him in swim lessons this year! But I will definitely be doing that next year.

Catch up again!

This is Graham's lawn mower that he loves so much. He pushes it around everywhere when we are outside. I really think he thinks he's helping Preston by mowing which is the cutest thing. He's the best helper ;)

Graham brought me a pair of Preston's shoes the other day and tried to put them on his feet. He is so cute and looks so little with them on. Before I know it though he will have huge size 13 feet like his dad I'm sure.

Graham thought it was so great to be sitting in the front seat. He even knows, and tried to put the key in the ignition which is strange because he is still rear facing in his car seat and hasn't ever seen Preston or I do it.

Daddy's big helper!

Cloth diaper baby! We LOVE cloth diapers!! Graham does too. I would never go back to disposables unless of course you go on a trip and aren't able to be near a washer. Cloth diapers are so so easy too! Graham has never had a diaper rash (aside from a weird allergic reaction on his back which was not caused by the cloth diapers). And the best part is they are nice better for my little guy because they don't have the bad chemicals that disposable diapers do, they are better for the environment (yes I care about the environment, and we don't have to spend money every month on diapers OR Wipes ... Yes we use cloth wipes too!! Maybe I'll do a whole post dedicated to cloth diapers!! I'm sure you all would love that ;) hahaha
Water thief!
Love my little man!
He loves Bob aka VeggieTales. He loves listening to the cd in the car too.

Day in Chico

Since Preston only works one job now and is officially done with summer school we are able to see each other more often and spend time doing fun things which right now mostly include working out in our backyard and watching graham have a good time with his play lawn mower and any thing else he can get his hands on.
On one of Preston's days off this past week we decided to go to Chico and look around in some thrift shops. We had to make the trip to go to Costco anyways so it was the perfect opportunity. We walked around downtown Chico, got some coffees at The Naked Lounge which is the coolest little coffee shop ever (nothing like the same, lol) and then decided to go to Burgers and Brew for some burgers and let me say it was the best veggie burger I've had. Next, we decided to let graham run some of his energy off at Bidwell park. They have the coolest park for little ones with so min stuff to do. Graham loved it!
And to finish this post off I would like to say I was the last person to think id be seen wearing a pair of these:

Birkenstocks! But they are back in style and in my opinion so cute! Don't go wearing them with a tye dye shirt though!! I wanted a pair so bad and Preston let me get some! I was so excited!!!

This day was so fun! I think there will be many more trips to Bidwell park in the near future!

Catch up!

I can't believe it's been so long since I have done a post! I really need to be better at this. I will do a real quick catch up because Preston and Graham are still sleeping which means I have a couple minutes to myself which is pretty rare!

So let's see...

Graham is now 13 months old and oh so cute I must add :)

He's walking!

He knows what a dog and cat are and can say them both... Dog is more clear than cat.

He LOVES being outside and playing in the rocks, dirt, grass. He will bring me his shoes and bring me my shoes and then go to the front door.

The other night Preston turned on the bath water to give graham a bath and graham ran into his room opened the drawer where his towels are kept and ran back to the bathroom with towel in hand. It was pretty cute!

I think he understands waaaaay more than I think! He's pretty smart! My iPhone was sitting on our end table in the living room and he grabbed it and took it over to where my charger was which is mixed in with other cords (that he knows he isn't supposed to play with) but my point is he grabbed the right one and tried to plug it in! I told him no, danger... But he's a pretty smart dude!

He still sleeps with Preston and I which in all honestly we don't mind!! We have tried to put him in his crib and I sat right by his crib and tried to get him to go to sleep and no joke he cried for an hour. It broke my heart. So we are in no rush- it will happen! He won't be sleeping with us forever! And he's still nursing as well! We plan on letting him self wean. No he won't be nursing when he's 4...lol. If it gets to that I will have to do something about it ;) hahaha
These facts are pretty interesting!

I don't have that many pictures because I just dumped all 3700 onto Preston's laptop (you're welcome Preston) hehehe

Graham at 8 months

I can't believe my baby boy is already 8 months. It was just yesterday that he was a newborn!!

Some things Graham is doing lately:

-Crawling and getting pretty darn fast.

-Clapping. Pretty much the cutest thing ever.

- Still saying mama

- loves to play on the ground and loves it when mommy is sitting on the ground with him.

- officially upgraded to his convertible car seat. We bought it several months ago and he used it a couple times but then we switched him back to his infant car seat for a couple months.

- he is a great eater. He will eat whatever we give him. He loves Mango, pear, apple, butternut squash, sweet potato, carrot, kale, regular squash, oatmeal, peas, punmpkin, broccoli, spinach. We are very blessed he is such a good eater.

- he loves standing up in his crib and gets a huge proud grin whenever he does.

-has his two bottom teeth.

-he is definitely a mamas boy. He loves his daddy too of course .

- I have still yet to leave him for more than an hour. My parents have watched him once for an hour while Preston and I cleaned up the leaves in our front yard but that's it. We both enjoy and prefer having Graham with us. Now, eventually a date night to dinner and a movie will be nice but that will come.

- still nursing like a champ. I don't think I will wean him at a year unless of course he wants to. But at this rate I don't think he will want to lol

7 months old

My baby boy is officially 7 months old. It is bittersweet. I love watching him grow and learn new things but everyday it's just a reminder that he won't be my little baby very much longer.

It's rather ironic because just 7 months ago we came home with our little boy... Those days were hard. Our boy had colic and between that and being new parents it was a very difficult time. But we got through it! And let me tell you it was so worth it! I kind of already have baby fever again! But don't worry number 2 won't be happening yet. Still want to enjoy my sweet baby boy Graham before we make him a big brother, forever! Lol.

Graham is the sweetest boy ever. Preston and I both love him so much and are so thankful God entrusted us with this precious little life. It is my and Preston's prayer that Graham grows up accepting then Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Preston has been really busy with work and school. We found out that we has another semester added to his 2 that he has left because Chico state is lame and makes you stay another semester taking pointless classes that have nothing to do with your major. We just want to be done and moved on from school! I guess i just have to be patient. After Preston graduates me hopes to get a job at a accounting firm. We are looking to re-locate our family to out of state. We are seriously looking at the Boise Idaho area. The "big 4" accounting firms are there, cost of living is better, family friendly, lots more to do there as far as outside goes and entertainment for families. Preston and I have lived in the same area pretty much all our lives so it will be so fun to experience something different. And it is only 9 hours away from gridley/yuba city so it will still be pretty close to family! We will see.

That's all for now. :)
